What a fine work this is! A painter with guts has been at work here. Besides large areas of colour that overlap and merge into each other, finer details have been added. It elevates the whole work by those details. The bottom is quite dark in tone on which the whole work rests, so to speak. Partly because of the regularly drawn lines. Which anchor the work like roots in the earth. The alternation between the heavily applied colours and the places where very subtle work has been done makes the eye keep wandering in this work. A particularly fine painting!
